No bells, no whistles, and without making you feel like you need a finance degree to understand what we’re talking about.
Helping you not only to understand, but explaining in a way that lets you take better business practices, we’re here to try and make handling your finances a bit more enjoyable with 35+ years of experience. We never said we were the new kid on the block, but that wealth of knowledge helps us identify pit falls before you fall in and give real and expert guidance with a touch of witty humour on the side.

who are we?
Think of us as your financial sidekick, stepping in to save the day when the Big Bad sends one of those horrid “brown” envelopes. We’re on your side, helping you navigate and translate all that financial jargon to something everyone can understand (honestly, those envelopes aren’t usually as scary as they look).
We are still an accounting firm, so we offer the usual stuff you’d expect: accounts reporting, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping. If you want to know more about these services, please check out the services page – its got some really cool flip boxes we’re quite proud of.
The difference between us and most other firms is that we add the human element. If it’s stressful or unclear, it’s not working. That’s not how we do things. In fact, that’s the direct opposite of what we’re going for. We’re here to help, to enable you to run your business or live your life without financial burdens on your shoulders. There’s calm and tranquility in not having to worry about sorting your tax return. We only wish we could get
someone to do ours.

Managing Partner
The brains behind the Trayler Lane machine. He’s the man to call for sublime strategy, tricky tax planning and those ‘can I just pick your brain?’ moments. If he was a superhero, he’d be called Captain Clarity.
As the man behind the machine, Dean has built Trayler Lane to be a firm you actually want to call. It doesn’t feel like a business meeting, more like a catch up with a mate who can help you with your tax return whilst not leaving you confused and frustrated by how much your tax bill is. It’s always advice you can trust.
Fun fact: Dean has an extensive collection of caps. We’re talking 100+. He gets a cap every time he visits somewhere new or goes to a major sporting event. It’s a pretty impressive collection.
Sarah Mason
Practice Administrator
Some say Sarah is actually an organisational wizard and practices coordination conjures in her spare time. All we know is that Trayler Lane wouldn’t run as smoothly as it does without her!
She helps across the business to keep everything in order, from making sure client records are up to date or handling the day-to-day admin. Sarah is friendly, reliable and always one step ahead with a spreadsheet to hand. She’ll 100% be able to help you with you Self Assessment tax return, but you’re still on your own looking for where you left your keys…
Fun fact: Sarah is a PRO event planner and she absolutely adores it. The Trayler Lane office parties are always a hoot thanks to her creative touch and military-precision scheduling. We’re not sure about the proposed sky diving followed by afternoon tea though… (though, if anyone, Sarah could definitely pull it off).
Julie Linton
Practice Manager
If Dean is the brains behind the business, Julie is the engine. The captain of the S.S Trayler Lane, steering a path through all waters; choppy, calm or otherwise.
She oversees the day-to-day running of operations, keeps the team’s tasks organised and makes sure your accountancy needs are done with plenty of time. If Trayler Lane has your business, Julie is the person who knows all about it, progress of tasks and what needs to be actioned next.
Fun fact: Julie is an avid quizzer – the woman you want on any pub quiz team! Her specialist subjects are 1980s music and Dad’s Army, so if you have any questions on those, she’s your gal.
Megan Bath
Payroll Administrator
If you need to know anything about Payroll, Megan is the one to call. We’re actually convinced she might dream about the latest PAYE updates and rules.
From balancing your books to making sure your team is paid correctly and on time, Megan is a master of it all. She’ll likely send you frequent emails looking for receipts or issuing you updates from HMRC, and they always come with a digital smile on her face. A tight deadline or a PAYE quirk? Water off a duck’s back to Megan.
Fun fact: According to Megan, a perfectly formulated spreadsheet is almost as good as a caramel iced latte. She stressed the almost, so we’ll keep an eye out for the office request for a higher tech coffee machine…
